Local producers will be joining forces with the famous Digbeth Dining Club to celebrate the Jubilee weekend and launch a new food market in historic Bromyard.
The Bromyard Dining Club will be FREE to enter and take place on the Saturday of the 70th Jubilee Weekend (4th June). The street food extraordinaire will boast Cleopatra’s Kitchen, Yard Birds, Gyoza Gyoza, Urban Cheesecake and Flats Doughnuts. Wye Valley Brewery and Little Pomona Cider will also be supporting the events over the Jubilee weekend, with more producers yet to be announced, organisers say.
There will be music and entertainment for families, while dogs are welcome at the event which is part of rejuvenation plan to entice more regional and national visitors to the town. The initiative will see a monthly market return to the Market Square, which launches the following day on Sunday 5th June (10am – 2pm) hosting Legges of Bromyard, Wye Valley Brewery, Little Pomona, Myrtles Pickles and Fidget Pie, with more local producers confirmed in the coming months.
Jayne Bradley Ghosh, market organiser, said: “We’re really excited to be hosting a Bromyard Dining Club for ‘Party in the Square’ on the bank holiday weekend. Living in Bromyard, I know how much potential this beautiful town has for wider tourism and having a nationally-recognised companies with great social media reach will help raise awareness of this fabulous town.
“Digbeth Dining Club is well- known for providing unbelievable cuisine from all around the world and I for one can’t wait to sink my teeth into some sumptuous street-food. I’ll also be enjoying a glass or two of Little Pomona Cider who are supporting the event and the market and for beer drinkers we’ll have a range of popular beers from Wye Valley Brewery too.”
Jack Brabant, founder, added: “This year marks ten years of Digbeth Dining Club and to celebrate the occasion we’re in the middle of a tour around the Midlands popping up in some of our favourite towns and cities. This will be our first ever event in the beautiful market town of Bromyard and we can’t wait to come down and hopefully support the local area and all its businesses by creating a real buzz in the square for the day.”
